What is Uptrail?
Uptrail is a UK company that runs live, mentor-led career programmes, bootcamps and a certification programme. We help graduates and career switchers break into data, business and digital roles. You can read more about us.
Which programmes do you offer?
The Data Career Programme: Data Analytics, Data Science & AI, which runs part-time over several months; three shorter bootcamps (the AI Data Analyst Bootcamp, the Business Analysis Bootcamp and the Digital Marketing Bootcamp); and the CompTIA Data+ Certification Programme. Do I need any experience to join?
No. Every programme is beginner friendly. Each programme page explains what, if anything, you need before you start in its frequently asked questions.
Are the classes live or pre-recorded?
Programmes are taught live online by practitioners, with no pre-recorded filler. Live events are recorded so you can catch up if life gets in the way, but most learners say turning up live is what keeps them on track.
Can I study while working full time?
Yes. Part-time formats and flexible payment plans mean a new career does not require pausing your life. The bootcamps run live evening and weekend sessions designed for people already in a job.
How do I choose the right programme?
Book a free career consultation. A career adviser listens first, maps your background and goals to the right path, or tells you honestly if now is not the right time. It is free and obligation-free, and we will never pressure you to enrol.
What support will I get while I study?
Every learner is paired with a mentor: a working professional who reviews your projects and career plan. You also join a community with study channels for every cohort, weekly live events and office hours. Career support includes CV reviews, LinkedIn optimisation and interview coaching.
Do I keep access after I finish?
Yes. You keep your community membership, events and job board access after you graduate.
How can I pay?
Each programme page lists its payment options under "Choose how you pay", and flexible payment plans are available. If you are not sure which option suits you, book a free consultation.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. You receive a Certificate of Completion when you finish your programme. The CompTIA Data+ Certification Programme also includes the official CompTIA Data+ exam voucher.
Can I join from outside the UK?
Yes. All programmes are taught online, and our community brings together learners from around the world.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Yes. You can cancel for any reason and get a full refund within the refund window set out in our Terms & Conditions, which also explain deferrals and your other rights.
Do you offer training for teams or help employers hire?
Yes. We run workforce training and corporate workshops for teams, and employers can hire our graduates.

Data Career Programme: Data Analytics, Data Science & AI
Do I need a technical or coding background?
No prior technical or coding experience is required. The programme starts from spreadsheet fundamentals and guides you step-by-step into SQL, Python, machine learning and applied AI.
What kind of projects will I build?
You will build 6 portfolio projects across diverse sectors including retail, healthcare, e-commerce, financial services and telecoms, culminating in an end-to-end capstone project.
How much time do I need to commit each week?
The programme is part-time and flexible, designed for working professionals. Most learners spend around 10-15 hours per week across lessons, live drop-in clinics and hands-on exercises.
What tools and software will I need?
You will use Excel, MySQL Workbench, Python (via VS Code), Power BI Desktop, Git/GitHub and modern AI tools. All required software is free or provided with setup guidance during onboarding.
How does the career coaching support work?
In the final month, you work directly with career mentors on ATS CV reviews, portfolio optimisation, technical screening practice and behavioural mock interviews.
Do you offer flexible payment options?
Yes. You can pay in full to save 10%, or spread the cost across interest-free monthly instalments.
AI Data Analyst Bootcamp
Do I need prior coding experience?
No. The bootcamp is hands-on and beginner friendly, building your Python and SQL skills as you work through real datasets.
Will I have something to show employers?
Yes. You finish with an end-to-end, portfolio-ready analytics project you can talk through in interviews.
How is it different from the career programme?
This is a focused six-week bootcamp to build core skills and a project. The Data Career Programme: Data Analytics, Data Science & AI is a six-month comprehensive pathway with 6 assessed projects, capstone job simulation and career placement support.
Business Analysis Bootcamp
Do I need a business or IT degree to become a Business Analyst?
No specific degree is required. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and practical knowledge of BA frameworks are what employers look for.
Digital Marketing Bootcamp
Do I need prior marketing experience?
No prior marketing experience is required. We start from foundational marketing concepts and advance into hands-on campaign execution.
CompTIA Data+ Certification Programme
Is the exam voucher included in the programme fee?
Yes, an official CompTIA Data+ exam voucher is included in your programme enrollment.
How long do I have to take the exam?
Your voucher is valid for 12 months after graduation, giving you full flexibility to sit the exam when you feel completely ready.
